51 Student-Athletes Named to Centennial Conference Winter Academic Honor Roll

HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Centennial Conference has announced the 2017-18 Winter Academic Honor Roll. With 51 student-athletes honored at Haverford, the Fords were well represented against the other schools from around the conference. The academic honor roll recognizes sophomores, juniors, and seniors who have a 3.40 cumulative grade point average or higher.

Men's indoor track & field (24 honorees) and women's indoor track & field (18 honorees) led the way from Haverford during the winter season as both teams also placed second at the Centennial Conference Championships. Women's basketball advanced to the NCAA Tournament and had six players named to the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll. Men's basketball matched its highest win total in several seasons and had three student-athletes represented.

Of those 51 student-athletes who were named to the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll, 10 were also represented on their All-Centennial Conference teams. Highlighting that list was women's basketball player Samantha Wetzel who was named the Centennial Conference's Scholar-Athlete of the Year for the second straight season in her sport.

Additionally, Sierra Berkel (women's basketball), Macy Goldbach (women's basketball), Dylan Gearinger (men's indoor track & field), Greg Morgan (men's indoor track & field), Graham Peet (men's indoor track & field), Scott Pollara (men's indoor track & field), Henry Woods (men's indoor track & field), Sophie Drew (women's indoor track & field), Amelia Keyser-Gibson (women's indoor track & field), and Katie Sullivan (women's indoor track & field) were named Academic All-Centennial performers. Gearinger was also recently honored as the Centennial Conference Men's Indoor Track Performer of the Meet at the conference championship.
