Haverford Represented by 83 Student-Athletes on Fall Academic Honor Roll

Centennial Conference Release

HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Centennial Conference has announced the 2019 Fall Academic Honor Roll. With 83 student-athletes honored at Haverford, the Fords were well represented against the other schools from around the conference. The academic honor roll recognizes sophomores, juniors, and seniors who have a 3.40 cumulative grade point average or higher.

Both field hockey (18 recipients) and the men's soccer (14 recipients) led the conference in number of student-athletes named to the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll among their sports. Men's cross country (16), women's cross country (15), and volleyball (8) all ranked second in the conference for their respective sports while women's soccer had 12 student-athletes honored.

Of those 83 student-athletes who were named to the Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll, eight were also represented on their All-Centennial Conference teams. Student-athletes earning both All-Centennial Conference honors and being selected to the academic honor roll were Sam McCalpin (men's cross country), Caroline Aronowitz (field hockey), Noah Schwab (men's soccer), Kendra Griesman (women's soccer), Leanne Ludwick (women's soccer), Lindsay Wytkind (women's soccer), Dina Kosyagin (volleyball), and Sara Matsumura (volleyball).

Highlighting that list of award recipients was Sam McCalpin, who was named the Centennial Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Year for men's cross country. The conference's scholar-athlete of the year award honors a junior or senior who maintains the highest cumulative GPA amongst the All-Centennial Conference performers in a particular sport.
