Centennial recognizes Fords for performance in classroom

HAVERFORD, Pa. -  The Centennial Conference released its fall academic honor roll on Wednesday and it was once again evident that Haverford College nurtures an environment conducive to both academic achievement and athletic excellence as 55 Fords earned a spot on the Centennial's list.

Haverford had the most student-athletes recognized among the 372 honorees despite having one less sport to figure in the total as seven of the conference schools have a football team. Dickinson College was the next closest institution with 44.

The academic honor roll recognizes sophomores, juniors and seniors who are key performers and have a 3.40 cumulative grade point average or higher. Twenty-one Haverford student athletes merited inclusion to the list for the first time.

Fourteen of the Fords honored also merited All-Centennial recognition this fall including senior Christopher Stadler who was the men's cross country runner of the year.
