Warren Croxton Named Assistant SID

HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College athletic department has announced the hiring of Warren Croxton as the Assistant Director of Sports Information. In his role, Croxton will help with the public relations functions for the department and its 23 varsity sports.

Croxton joins Haverford College after spending a year as the Sports Information Assistant at Division I Chicago State University. During his time at Chicago State, Croxton was the official contact for the women’s basketball, golf and tennis teams.

“I’d like to thank Wendy and Justin for the opportunity that they have given me,” said Croxton. “I’m looking forward to working with such a great staff and group of student-athletes.”

“Warren is a fantastic addition to the sports information office. He brings new and innovative ideas to the table from his previous positions,” stated Justin Grube, Director of Sports of Information. “Warren will be a particularly strong asset to the athletic department as we look to enhance our social media and video presence in the immediate future.”

While at Chicago State, Croxton was a part of a team that overhauled the athletic department’s social media plans by adding more web and video content. He also created the school’s history books and wrote featured columns on student-athletes and their experiences at the school.

Prior to Chicago State, Croxton interned with the Philadelphia 76ers and Philadelphia Soul. He also spent time volunteering in the sports information departments at Neumann University and Chestnut Hill College. A native of Stratford, N.J., Croxton received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Sport Management from Neumann University and his Master of Science Degree in Sport Management from Drexel University.
