Fords earn 46 spots on conference academic honor roll

LANCASTER, Pa. – The Centennial Conference on Wednesday released its winter 2014 academic honor roll and of the 320 selections, 46 are Haverford College student-athletes including seven who were also all-conference honorees.

Men's basketball includes five Fords while the Centennial-champion women's basketball team places four on the honor roll. Brett Cohen from the men and Jacquelyne Pizzuto from the women were all-Centennial players.

Men's indoor track places 20 athletes on the academic list. All-conference athletes from the team earning honor roll inclusion are Avi Bregman, Sam Fujimori, Chris Gardner, Gebby Keny and Centennial indoor championship track athlete of the meet Christopher Stadler.

Seventeen student-athletes from the women's indoor track & field team were selected for the winter honor roll.

To be nominated for the Centennial academic honor roll, a student-athlete must be a sophomore or higher in class standing, must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.400, and must have participated in at least 50 percent of contests, matches or meets, or in the Centennial varsity championship in indoor track & field or swimming.
