Class of '95 Field

Back to Facilites Home...

The Class of '95 Field has undergone a number of major renovations to maintain its status as a premier softball facility in the Centennial Conference. With the installation of a new fence, backstop, personalized windscreen, bullpens, batting cage, scoreboard, irrigation system, and a newly reconstructed playing surface, Haverford's field provides student-athletes a top-level experience.

The field was named for the class of 1995 when it was built. This occured just before the team transitioned from a club sport to varsity in 1996. Dick Wynn served as the first coach of the club team, which was created in good part because of the enthusiasm of Randee Waldman, '94. Waldman was the first of many star pitchers that have passed through the Haverford College softball program through the program's history.
