Johnson Track & Throwing Facility

The eight-lane 400-meter all purpose Johnson Track features full field event and steeplechase capabilities and encircles Walton Field. The M. Allanson '55 All Weather Track was named by M. Allanson "Jake" Johnson in 1993.

During the summer of 2015, a newly designed throwing area was constructed by lower featherbed to give the Fords’ throwers a state-of-the-art facility to both train and compete. With the new facility, both the men’s and women’s track & field teams can practice all of the outdoor throwing events including javelin, discus, hammer, and shot put. The throwing facility opened for competition during the 2016 outdoor track & field season with the Haverford Invitational on Wednesday, April 27.
