The win for the Fords was Haverford’s first victory over Swarthmore since the 2018 season, where the Fords defeated the Garnet 5-1 in the Centennial Conference semifinals.

In the batter’s box, Lauren Martin and Addie Sapirstein had two hits each for the Fords, with Martin recording one RBI. Sapirstein, Jocelyn Leal, and Abby Litchfield all came around to score once in the narrow 4-3 defeat.
In the batter’s box Mauro DeCillis went 2-4 with three runs, three RBIs, and a homerun. Harry Genth led the Fords with 3 hits, while Daniel Rosman and Jonny Flieder both contributed two knocks each.
The Centennial Conference leading scorer Reid Tietjen, paced the Scarlet and Black in goals with six. With his sixth goal of the contest, Tietjen reached the 100 point mark in just his 56th game for Haverford.
