HAVERFORD, Pa. -  Haverford College junior outfielder Ethan Lee-Tyson was named to D3Baseball.com Third-team All-Mid-Atlantic honors, the organization announced in a release on Monday afternoon. The award represents the sixth straight season that a Haverford player has been bestowed All-Region honors from D3Baseball. Lee-Tyson becomes the first back-to-back honoree since Tommy Bergjans '15 made three consecutive All-Region appearances. 

Lee-Tyson takes home All-Region honors from D3Baseball for the second straight season, repeating the postseason honor in the 2018 campaign after a season in which he registered a slash line of .379/.451/.517, Lee-Tyson started all 36 contests for the Fords. He ranked third in the Centennial Conference in batting average (.372) and hits (60). Lee-Tyson was second in the Centennial Conference in runs scored (40) and fifth in on-base percentage (.451).

Lee-Tyson was one of the hardest hitters in the nation to strike out this season, with just 10 strikeouts in 145 at-bats.  On the basepaths, Lee-Tyson helped pace the high octane Fords running game with 16 steals in 19 attempts. Through his third season at Haverford, The Weston, Conn. product sits in the top five in program history in career batting average (.376) and total bases (250). Lee-Tyson's 55 hits in 2018 was the 10th-most in the single-season history of the program. 

The 2018 season marks the seventh year that D3baseball.com has named All-Region teams, with 800 players nominated. The ballot was then made available to sports information directors, who voted for a predetermined number of players in their region, as well as D3baseball.com staff and contributors.

The D3Baseball.com All-America team will be announced on Wednesday, May 23.
