Season continues for cricket against PCC

HAVERFORD, Pa. - The season continued for the Haverford College cricket team on Saturday with a loss against the Philadelphia Cricket Club (PCC) at the Merion Cricket Club.

PCC won the toss and chose to field. The Fords scored a total of 87 runs in their innings, with Sophomore Ty Joplin as top-scorer with a blistering 22-run knock. Freshman David White, who has never played cricket before this semester, and junior Jake Hazen also impressed for Haverford.

The Fords struggled to unseat PCC's opening batsmen, who scored the majority of their teams runs before getting out. Sophomore Daniel Waranch and senior Nick Trickett were the Fords' most impressive bowlers, taking two wickets apiece.

Haverford gets right back into action on Sunday, April 13th, with a home game against the British Officers Cricket Club, at Cope Field beginning at noon.
