HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College cricket team has announced the spring portion of its 2017-18 schedule.
The spring season features seven regular season matches in April before an intercollegiate final and third place match will be contested between the sides from Penn, Villanova, Temple and the Fords. All matchups this spring will take place on the home pitch at Cope Field.
Haverford kicks off the 2018 schedule with a matchup with British Officers Cricket Club (Apr. 7) before returning the next afternoon to take on Malgudi Cricket Club (Apr. 8). The following weekend, Haverford renews Intercollegiate competition against Penn (Apr. 14) and Temple (Apr. 15).
The Alumni game is slated for Saturday, April 21 and Haverford then wraps up the regular season with matchups against Villanova (Apr. 28) and Amwell Valley Cricket Club (Apr. 29). The intercollegiate final and third place match are slated for May 5 and May 6, respectively.
In the fall portion of the schedule, Haverford went 3-3, notching wins over Temple, British Officers and Penn while falling to Penn, Malgudi and Amwell Valley.
