DALLAS, Pa. – Bryn Bissey's pair of second-half goals capped off a three-goal rally by Haverford College's field hockey team in its 3-1 non-conference victory Wednesday afternoon against host Misericordia University at McGeehan Field.

Haverford (4-3) out shot the Cougars (1-8) by a count of 37-8 and generated the first 10 shots of each half before allowing the home team to get off its first in each stanza. The Fords dominated in the attacking zone creating 20 penalty corner chances, to just five by the Cougars.

Despite a 14-6 advantage in shots over the opening 35 minutes, Haverford was forced to settle for a scoreless tie entering the intermission, mostly because Misericordia goalie Angela Pasquini was doing everything but standing on her head to keep the out-gunned Cougars in the game.

Pasquini registered 10 saves in the first half including all six of the Fords' original 10 shots in the contest that made it onto goal.

Misericordia took a surprising lead in the 51st minute, putting a mark up on the scoreboard on Lindsay Hischak's goal with only the second shot of the half allowed by the Haverford defense.

Not even two minutes later the swarming Fords evened the score when Jen DiMaria punched in her own rebound, off another Pasquini save, for DiMaria's third goal of the season.

Bissey notched what eventually became the game-winner in the 59th, then added an insurance goal off a penalty corner opportunity at the 66:49 mark off an insert from Catherine Aronowitz. The pair of markers were Bissey's third and fourth of the season.

Haverford netminder Lindsey Lopes earned the win making three stops of the four that were on frame while Pasquini's valiant efforts, finishing with 18 saves, still weren't enough as she took the loss.

The Fords step back into action Saturday with a Centennial Conference match-up at 4:30 p.m. against host Gettysburg College.
