HAVERFORD, Pa. – Senior Jen DiMaria scored two goals as the Haverford College field hockey team defeated the Gettysburg Bullets 3-0 on Saturday afternoon at Swan Field.

Senior Catherine Aronowitz brought the ball down the left sideline towards the goal and crossed it to the far post which DiMaria knocked past Gettysburg goalie Haley Mowery to get the scoring started in the third minute.

In the 10th minute, DiMaria tallied her second goal on an assist from junior Brenna Boehman. Boehman, who received the initial pass off of a corner from Aronowitz, found an opening in the center of the circle for DiMaria to dispatch it by Mowery.

Already with two assists on the day, Aronowitz scored her third goal of the season in the 69th minute. Freshman Paige Carson had her initial shot saved, but set up Aronowitz on the rebound attempt.

The Fords' defense blocked three shots and held the Bullets to two shots on goal. Lopes made two saves for her third career shutout. Aronowitz finished one point shy of her career-high with four points while DiMaria registered her seventh career multi-goal game in the win. Mowery made four saves in the loss for Gettysburg.
