Field Hockey's Game at Rowan Moved to Oct. 12

HAVERFORD, Pa. – With Pope Francis visiting Philadelphia this weekend, the Haverford College field hockey team's match at Rowan scheduled for Saturday at 11 a.m. has been moved to Monday, October 12th at 7 p.m.

The Fords currently sit at 4-2 on the season and have won three straight games including a 5-1 win over Dickinson in their Centennial Conference opener last weekend. Haverford has gone undefeated at Swan Field, winning its four home games by a combined score of 22-3.

Senior captain Sarah Waldis was selected as the Centennial Conference Offensive Player of the Week this week. It's the first time that the senior has been honored as player of the week as she has 14 points this year which ranks in a tie for fourth in the conference. Waldis' previous high in points was three in 2012 and 2014.

Haverford will travel to Misericordia on Wednesday (7 p.m.) before a visit to Muhlenberg to wrap up the month of September (Sept. 30).
