HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College volleyball team welcome backed 16 alumnae on Saturday afternoon for the annual contest between the current squad and the alumnae on Swan Field. After the contest, the team hosted a tailgate that served as a chance for the sides to reconnect with former teammates and friends and for the incoming first year team members to meet with those who came before them.

After an opening goal from the alumnae, The 2017 varsity team stormed back with four unanswered goals to take the victory by a tally of 4-1 in a spirited contest.

The alumnae team consisted of Mary Hobbs '13, Christine Quake '13, Alyssa Mayo '13, Catherine Aronowitz '15, Brooke Kelly '15, Sydney Cone '16, Bryn Bissey '13, Megan Reilly '14, Nicole Witte '17, Abby Frerotte '17, Sarah Waldis '16, Lindsey Lopes '16, Jen DiMaria '14 and Natalie Leslie '17.

The current Fords open up the 2017 season on Friday, September 1 against Alvernia on Swan Field. Action is slated to get underway at 4:30 p.m.
