Alumni Day also gave the Fords a chance to present the annual recipients of the Mike Mucci Award. This year the award went to senior Zach Perry for the second consecutive season.
The Scarlet and Black continued to hover around a six-point deficit in the final minute, as both teams combined for a remarkable 24 points. Senior Luke Phillips (pictured) took over, scoring seven of the final 12 points for the Fords.
Haverford finished with four scorers in double figures, as Uremovich (pictured) led the charge with a season-high 17 points. Matching a season-high in points was Ongur, who knocked down nine of his 12 points from behind the three-point arc, while Strong-Jacobson finished with 12 points, and Logan Brown reached the 10-point plateau.
Christian Uremovich led all Haverford scorers with 15 points, his second-highest total of the season. Logan Brown also reached double figures, scoring 13 points.
For Haverford, Marr led the team with 12 points and five rebounds. Off the bench, Uremovich (pictured) came up clutch, scoring eight points in 14 minutes of play.
For Haverford, Brown and Strong-Jacobson (pictured) each scored 12 points, with the latter finishing the contest with a double-double (10 rebounds) in the defeat.
In what was a true shootout between the teams, the Fords shot 48 percent from the field (33-of-69) and 44 percent from behind the three-point line (14-of-32).
Gaven Marr poured in 28 points, Adam Strong-Jacobson (pictured) added 13 on perfect shooting, and Derin Ongur chipped in 12 from beyond the arc in the road loss.
A major key to the victory for the Scarlet and Black was the offensive glass, where the Fords grabbed 30 offensive rebounds as opposed to just eight for the Ravens.
Haverford will begin its 2024 season under the lights of Gooding ‘84 Arena, as the River Hawks of Susquehanna come to town on Saturday, November 9, at 2:00 p.m.
Starting with the 2024-25 season, the Centennial Conference slate will be divided into half, with Haverford belonging to a division with foes Swarthmore, Ursinus, Muhlenberg, and Washington College.
