HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College men's and women's fencing programs welcomed back their alumni for the annual alumni bouts that were followed by a banquet where the current varsity team got the chance to meet with the fencers that have come before them and established the tradition of Haverford fencing.

The day began with two hours of spirited fencing between the alumni and the current varsity team. Following the chance to compete against and learn from the alumni fencers, the team hosted a banquet for its former student-athletes that returned to campus.

Both varsity teams resume their regular schedules with the women traveling to the NIWFA Championships hosted by Army West Point this Saturday. The men return to competition on Sunday for the MACFA Championships at Johns Hopkins University.
