HAVERFORD, Pa. – Dylan Slack has been named the Centennial Conference Defensive Player of the week after recording a career-high 17 saves during the Fords' win over McDaniel to start conference play on Saturday. Slack stopped 77 percent of the shots he faced during the 8-5 win.

Slack's efforts in goal were key to the win as McDaniel outshot the Fords by a 34-29 margin. Slack also collected a career-best four ground balls in his control of the crease. His effort anchored a standout defense that caused 13 turnovers in thwarting the Green Terror attack.

Among his Centennial Conference peers, Slack is currently ranked second in the conference in both wins (5) and total saves (80). He currently holds the third best GAA (7.75) and save percentage (56.3%) in the Centennial. His 7.75 GAA is currently the ninth best single season mark in school history through the first eight games.

Men's lacrosse will be back at home on Wednesday for its only game under the lights on Swan Field as the Fords take on Muhlenberg at 7 p.m. Haverford will be on the road to faceoff with Franklin & Marshall on Saturday at 1 p.m.
