Ben Frost Named CC Scholar-Athlete of the Year

Centennial Conference Release

HAVERFORD, Pa. – Haverford College men's lacrosse player Ben Frost has been named the Centennial Conference Men's Lacrosse Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Frost earns the award in his first season eligible as this honor is bestowed up a junior or senior member of the All-Centennial Conference team in each sport with the highest cumulative grade point average.

Frost was an honorable mention All-Centennial Conference middie for the Fords during his junior season. He appeared in all 15 games on the top midfield line. He tied for the team in goals with 21, and held the outright team lead in man-up goals (4), shots (86), and shots on goal (52). His 25 points this season ranked third on the team as he also recorded four assists.

The junior had an offensive point during each contest this season, scoring a goal in all but one game. Highlighting those performances was a four-point effort (three goals, one assist) against Franklin & Marshall, to go along with two goal contests against Cabrini, Stockton, Washington College, Ursinus, and Gettysburg during the Centennial Conference semifinals.

However, his most memorable goal of this past season was likely the game-winner against Swarthmore in the final minutes of that contest which clinched the Fords first postseason appearance since the 2011 season. Men's lacrosse finished its season with seven total victories, four of which came against Centennial Conference opponents.
