Men's soccer picked 2nd in Centennial preseason poll

LANCASTER, Pa. - The Centennial Conference released its men's soccer 2013 preseason poll on Wednesday morning and the conference coaches expect Haverford College to once again challenge for the title as the defending champion Fords were picked to finish second in a tight race.

Haverford garnered five first-place votes and 73 total points while Swarthmore College enters the season as the preseason favorite with four first-place votes and 76 points overall. The Fords upset the host Garnet, 1-0, in last season's conference final.

Dickinson College was right behind in third with 69 points and the remaining first-place vote. Johns Hopkins University (54 points) and Franklin & Marshall College (52) placed fourth and fifth, respectively, to round out the top five spots and the expected playoff contenders.

The Fords return four all-conference players including seniors Jamie Reingruber and Adam Morollo and sophomores Brady Seitz and Sam Yarosh.
