Yarosh earns all-region honors

KANSAS CITY, Kan. - Sophomore Sam Yarosh of the Haverford College men's soccer team added to his growing list of postseason accolades when he was named to the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/Continental Tire NCAA Division III 2013 All-Mid-Atlantic Region team as announced this week by the organization.

Receiving third-team all-region honors, Yarosh started all 18 games at midfield for the Fords as they finished atop the Centennial Conference regular-season standings and earned the right to host the conference tournament for the first time in program history.

One of five sophomores to make the 33-man squad, Yarosh was a first-team all-conference selection this season as he registered double figures in points for the second consecutive campaign. Eight other players from the Centennial joined Yarosh on the all-region team.

Yarosh, who ranked second on the Fords this season in goals with six, also merited inclusion to the conference's academic honor roll this fall and nabbed a spot on the Philadelphia Inquirer 2013 Academic All-Area Men's Soccer Team.
