HAVERFORD, Pa. – Brady Seitz continued his torrid offensive stretch by scoring for the third consecutive match. Seitz's latest tally, his seventh of the year, gave the Haverford College men's soccer team a 1-0 lead in the 85th minute of play on Wednesday afternoon against Rowan. The Fords (8-3) made that one goal stand up as they won their fourth straight contest.

Haverford held the edge in shots during both halves against the visiting Profs (8-5). Despite several opportunities throughout the contest, the Fords just could not beat Rowan's Kevin Vasta. Haverford finished the game with a 16-9 advantage in shots over the 90 minutes. Haverford also earned seven corner attempts, compared to just two corners chances from Rowan.

Seitz's goal came after an increase in offensive pressure from the Fords in the second half. Rowan tested Sam Miller early in the second half with three shots that called the Fords' goalie into action. He would deny any such chances. Over the final 15 minutes of the contest, the Fords created nearly all the offensive chances.

Haverford's seventh shot on goal of the afternoon would turn out to be the lucky shot for the Fords. The play was set up by Sam Yarosh as he made a nice turn in the box to shake his defender and allow him to send a crisp pass through the box and to a waiting Seitz on the far post with just over five minutes left on the scoreboard. Yarosh's assist was his third of the season and gives him seven points in the last six matches.

Miller would be called upon to make one final save in the waning minutes but would do so to record his third shutout of the season. Miller finished his night with six saves in net. Offensively, Yarosh led the Fords with four shots on the night. Matthew Clausen and Seitz each took three shots for the evening.

Men's soccer will look to keep its winning ways going this weekend when it resumes Centennial Conference play against No. 22 Dickinson on Saturday. Dickinson is currently tied for first place in the conference. Saturday's contest is scheduled to get underway at 7 p.m.
