LANCASTER, Pa. – The Haverford College men's soccer team fell on the road to No. 6 Franklin and Marshall on Saturday evening, 4-1. Trailing 2-0 at the half, the Fords (8-6, 3-4 CC) got within a goal when Brady Seitz scored just 1:26 into the second half of play. However, the first-place Diplomats (14-0-1, 7-0 CC) answered that goal with two more second half goals to secure the victory.

Franklin and Marshall scored its first goal of the evening off a throw in from the right side of the field. The Diplomats added their second goal of the game just under three minutes later when Jared Bomba headed home his fifth goal of the season off a cross from Sam Lane.

Trailing 2-0 at the break, Seitz gave the Haverford offense a huge jolt to start the second half as he placed a perfect strike from the left side of the box to the far post and past the keeper. Seitz's unassisted goal with his team-leading eighth of the season.

Haverford's momentum took a hit nearly 15 minutes later when the Fords were whistled for a foul in the box. The Diplomats were awarded a penalty kick and Lane converted the chance. With the Fords' offense pushing for a second goal, the hosts put one final shot away in the 87th minute of play when TenBrook scored his second goal of the game off a rebound to send his squad to a 4-1 win.

The Diplomats finished the game with a 13-9 advantage in shots, including a 6-3 edge in shots on goal. Seitz led the Haverford offense with three of those nine shots on the night, including his goal early in the second half. Tejan Walcott also took two shots for the visitors.
