HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College men's soccer team checks in at No. 15 nationally in the D3Soccer.com Poll and the 23rd ranked team by the United Soccer Coaches in this week's rankings release. The Fords (4-1-1, 0-1 CC) started the season unbeaten through their first five contests, but suffered their first setback of the season on Saturday at Johns Hopkins.

Haverford has now been ranked in the top 25 by the United Soccer Coaches Association in 17 of the last 18 releases and was receiving votes in the only other release during that time. With different timing on the release of preseason and regular season rankings, the Fords have been ranked in the top 25 by D3Soccer.com for 16 straight releases now. Both of those streaks date back to the 2015 season when Haverford was in the midst of a program-record 16 straight victories which carried all the way until the Elite Eight that season.

The Fords have already toppled a Messiah side that was No. 11 at the time of the Fords' meeting and is still ranked inside the top 10 in both polls this week. Haverford also owns a victory over Elizabethtown. The Blue Jays were receiving votes nationally in the United Soccer Coaches poll at the time and continue to receive votes in the D3Soccer.com poll this week.

Haverford is the fourth ranked team in the Mid-Atlantic Region according the United Soccer Coaches and the Fords will have two matchups against fellow regionally-ranked opposition this coming week. The team will be on the road Wednesday evening for a 7:30 p.m. start against Scranton. The Royals are ranked sixth in the region this week. Perennial rival Franklin & Marshall is ranked 10th in the Mid-Atlantic Region this week. The Fords and Diplomats, the top two teams in the Centennial Conference preseason poll, will meet Saturday at 2 p.m. on Walton Field.
