Virtual Senior Days: Haverford College Men's Soccer Class of 2021

With the 2020 fall sports unable to hold traditional Senior Days on campus, the Haverford College Athletic Department is recognizing these seniors in a virtual ceremony, with some special help from their teammates. Today, we celebrate the 2020 Haverford College men's soccer seniors.

Men's Soccer Class of 2021

  • 2018 Centennial Conference Champions
  • Hosted a home playoff game on Walton Field every season
  • 20-6-3 record on Walton Field
  • 33-15-7 overall record
  • Highest team GPA across all men's soccer teams at all collegiate levels during 2019-20 academic year
  • Four consecutive United States Coaches Association Academic Team Awards
  • All seven members of the men's soccer class of 2021 have been starters throughout their careers
  • Combined 249 career appearances

#3 Zach Brown • Defense • Chemistry major (Biochemistry & Peace, Justice, and Human Rights concentrations) • Shaker Heights, Ohio • Shaker Heights High School

  • Played in 21 matches, making 13 starts
  • Member of defense which posted 21 shutouts over three years
  • One assist vs. Drew (2018)
  • Three shots
  • Three-time Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll

#15 Sykes Cargile • Defense/Midfield • Physics major • Nashville, Tennessee • University School of Nashville

  • Played in 50 matches, making 17 starts
  • 11 career points (3 goals, 5 assists) on 59 career shots
  • Secured season-high six points during 2018 championship season, scoring against Rowan and McDaniel (GWG)
  • Scored against Drew in 2019 before capping regular season with an assist in playoff-clinching win versus Swarthmore
  • All five of his career assists came against Centennial Conference opponents

#11 Kevin Kaufman • Midfield • Physics major, Economics minor • Bethesda, Maryland • Walt Whitman High School

  • Played in 41 matches, making five starts
  • Scored three goals and had one assist on 19 career shots
  • Scored in back-to-back season openers against Cabrini (2018, 19)
  • Tallied the game-winning goal in Fords' 1-0 win at then-No. 3 Johns Hopkins (2019) to help team record highest-ranked road victory in program history
  • Three-time Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll

#5 Will Klein • Defense • Economics major • Berwyn, Pennsylvania • Conestoga High School

  • Team captain
  • Started 43 of his 46 career appearances, including all 18 matches as a junior
  • Starter for all but two of Haverford's 21 shutouts a defense
  • Tallied five shots, putting four attempts on goal
  • Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll

#4 Matthieu Maciejewski • Defense • Chemistry major (Biochemistry concentration) • Potomac, Maryland • Walt Whitman High School

  • Played in 36 matches, making 19 starts as defense recorded 21 shutouts over three years
  • Started 16 of his 17 appearances as a junior
  • Scored back-to-back game-winning goals against Ursinus and Swarthmore to push Haverford into the Centennial Conference Tournament in the final week of the 2019 regular season
  • Tallied his first career goal in 2017 versus Ursinus, finishing career with 14 shots
  • Three-time Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll

#23 Brett Mozarsky • Midfield • Chemistry major (Biochemistry concentration) • Mount Kisco, New York • Horace Greeley High School

  • Made 24 career appearances as a part of a defense which posted 21 clean sheets over three years
  • Started 11 of his 14 appearances in 2019
  • Scored against Ursinus during 2017 on his first career shot
  • Finished his career with four total shots
  • Finished career with four shots
  • Three-time Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll

#25 Ryan Sholes • Midfield • Chemistry major (Biochemistry concentration), Health Studies minor • West Chester, Pennsylvania • Salesianum School

  • Played in 31 career games, making 11 starts over past two seasons
  • 5 assists, 12 shots, 7 shots on goal
  • All five of his assists came during Haverford victories
  • Tallied first two assists versus Ursinus in 2017, also posting assists against Cabrini and McDaniel in 2018
  • Set up the eventual game-winning goal against Swarthmore in 2019 regular season finale to clinch a spot in the Centennial Conference Tournament
  • Three-time Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll
