Title: Assistant Coach
Previous College: Wilkes '02

Kyle Rush joined the Haverford College men’s soccer coaching staff as an assistant after spending nine years as the head coach at Ursinus College. He led five different players to all-conference honors at Ursinus, including the 2012 Centennial Conference Rookie of the Year, who later became the only player in Ursinus history to garner four All-CC honors.

In his first year with the Fords, Rush helped lead Haverford to its second straight Centennial Conference Championship and an appearance in the second round of the NCAA Tournament as a regional host. The following year, Haverford was once again back in the Centennial Conference Tournament following a 10-5-3 overall record.

During his tenure at Ursinus, Rush oversaw great changes within his program. In his first season at the helm, Rush turned the Bears around and took them from a two win program in 2006 to a team with a 7-8-2 record. In 2013, Ursinus experienced its best season in a long time under the guidance of Rush. The Bears went 8-8-1 overall, 4-4-1 in the Centennial Conference, and Rush was named Centennial Conference Coach of the Year.

Prior to his arrival at Ursinus, Rush spent four seasons as an assistant coach for his alma mater – Wilkes University – where he starred as a back for the Colonels. He was a two-time first-team All-Middle Atlantic Conference selection during his college career.

Rush has also spent time with the Eastern Pennsylvania ODP staff from 2004-10 and was also on the Coerver Michigan coaching staff from 2003-06 where he administered an internationally renowned training method to various youth players from the state of Michigan.

Rush has most recently spent time serving as the Director of Training for Harleysville Youth Soccer from 2008-10. While in that role he helped with player development, holding coaching clinics, and developed technical curriculum for younger age groups in addition to evaluating players.

He holds several diplomas from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America, including the national, advanced national, and his Premier. He has achieved a distinguished pass on all three diplomas.

Rush is a 2002 graduate from Wilkes with a degree in Environmental Sciences and Technical Writing.
