Glodi Konga joined the Haverford College men’s soccer coaching staff in the spring of 2019. He comes to Haverford after spending the previous two seasons as the head coach at the University of Valley Forge, leading the Patriots to the American College Athletic Association Tournament and coaching four all-conference players.

Konga was a two-year member of the Division I Liberty Flames soccer program. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in exercise science from Liberty in 2015 and went on to receive his master’s from Liberty in sports management the following year. While at Liberty, Konga served as a Graduate Assistant in the sport management program assisting in sport communication, history of sport, and sport coaching classes. He developed a primary focus in applied leadership theories and is currently pursuing a PhD in Sports Leadership from Concordia University and is expected to graduate from that program in 2021.

Prior to attending Liberty, Konga played one year at nearby Cairn University where he started all 17 matches for the Highlanders and recorded two assists. Konga was also a member of the Cloud County Community College soccer team that won the 2011 NJCAA National Championship. The Thunderbirds finished the season with a 22-1-3 record with 17 shutouts.

Currently, Konga is an Assistant Professor and Program Director of Sport Management at the University of Valley Forge. In addition to his coaching experience at Valley Forge, Konga has an additional decade of coaching experience, previously serving as an assistant soccer coach for the Buxmont Torch FC (NPSL), the Director of Coaching at Germantown Soccer Club in Philadelphia, and working for Arsenal in the Community of England. He holds a UEFA coaching license and has worked with Athletes In Action and Ambassadors Football on international soccer missions overseas on several occasions.
