Men's squash takes down the Terriers at CSA championships

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Haverford College men's squash team took down Boston University, 6-3, on the second day of play at the 2014 College Squash Association Team Championships.

The victory moved the 40th-ranked Fords (5-13) into the finals of the consolation bracket in the Chaffee Cup/E Division.

Five Haverford players earned wins in the minimum three games. Playing at No. 8, senior Bret Marlowe had another strong day as he gave up just 10 points to Jin Hyung Kim in a dominating victory (11-1, 11-7, 11-2).

Sophomore Nathan Vestrich-Shade, freshman Aaron Horwitz, senior John Cummings and junior Jonathan Nguyen also registered 3-0 wins against the 37th-ranked Terriers (1-12).

Senior Arman Terzian, at No. 7, rallied past Christopher Schwagerl to account for the Fords' other point on the day. Terzian shook off a two-game deficit and roared back to claim the comeback victory (7-11, 8-11, 11-7, 11-9, 11-8).

The Fords conclude the season on Sunday at 12:30 p.m. against the winner of the Lehigh University/Colgate University match that took place later in the day on Saturday.
