Playing in the consolation bracket finals of the Chaffee Cup/E Division, the 40th-ranked Fords (5-14) and 39th-ranked Raiders (7-7) entered Sunday's contest looking to end the 2013-14 campaign with a victory.

Senior John Cummings, at No. 6, earned a three-game win (11-8, 12-10, 11-8) in his final collegiate match.

Cummings' classmate Arman Terzian also shined as the senior co-captain registered a 3-1 victory (11-4, 9-11, 11-6, 11-8) over Mark Bugas at No. 9.

Jonathan Nguyen, at No. 9, rallied past Balin Michael to account for Haverford's other point of the day. After falling behind 2-0, Nguyen persevered to earn a narrow 12-10 win in game three. Nguyen went on to cap the comeback with a pair of quick victories in games four and five to take the match (9-11, 5-11, 12-10, 11-4, 11-3).

Aaron Horwitz, playing at No. 2, came close to adding another point for the Fords but the freshman fell in five games (11-6, 9-11, 8-11, 11-9, 11-5) to Sam Brenman.
