HAVERFORD, Pa. - The Haverford Men's Squash team split the day at the GIAC Squash Courts, dropping the first match of the day to No. 17 Dickinson by a final score of 9-0 before returning to defeat No. 35 NYU by an 8-1 final in the late afternoon match. With his 43rd career victory over NYU, Peter Dudley sits just one win shy of the Haverford program record of 44 career wins held by Tim Saint '02. Haverford is now 8-5 on the season following the day of action.

The Fords struggled against the Red Devils, who came into the contest off the heels of wins over Wesleyan and Amherst at the Pioneer Valley Invitational.
Haverford had perhaps its strongest play of the match from Davis Chase and Peter Dudley at the second and third flights as each largely matched their opponent from Dickinson before the Red Devil player was able to pull away for a victory. Senior co-captain Zach Cole also tested his opponent at the seventh spot, Osuman Imoro, taking the third game to an 11-8 decision for his opponent.

After Andre Giglio conceded the first match of the afternoon to Ginno Geocadin at the fifth spot on the ladder, Haverford responded with eight straight individual match victories to breeze to the win.
Yash Singh got the best of Shane Fries at the seventh spot (14-12, 11-5, 11-7) before Chase bested Ashish Ramachandran in a sweep at the second flight (11-3, 11-7, 11-2). Fitz Dougherty defeated Bradford Sunderland via sweep at the fourth position (11-6, 11-9, 5-11, 14-12) and Cole clinched the match for the Fords with a sweep of Karan Kochhar at the seventh flight (11-8, 11-5, 11-8).
Haverford also received victories from Thomas Kaye over Nahckjoon Kim at the sixth spot (11-6, 11-3, 11-6) and Dudley over Ashad Hajela at the third position (11-6, 11-9, 5-11, 14-12).
Ryan Dukarm picked up his first win of the season with a sweep of Michael Kumar at the ninth spot (11-6, 11-8, 12-10) before Tate Miller wrapped things up at the top flight with a four game victory over Gabriel Bassil (11-8, 11-4, 12-14, 11-9).
The Fords improve to 3-0 all time at home against the Violets of NYU. Cole registered his 40th career win on Saturday and currently sits third in program history in win total, joining Dudley with a chance to also eclipse Saint's win mark.
Haverford returns home to the Gardner Integrated Athletic Center squash courts for its next matches on Saturday, February 10 at 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. In the morning matchup, Haverford faces off against No. 41 Boston College before closing out the day against No. 33 Bucknell. Senior Day festivities will honor Dudley and Cole for their contributions to the men's squash program.
Following next weekend's action, Haverford will head to the team National Championships, held from Feburary 23-25 at Trinity College.
