HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College men's tennis team capped its 2016-17 season as the No. 13 team in the final Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Atlantic South Region rankings. Additionally, Josh Moskovitz concluded his season as the 18th ranked singles player in the region.

The Fords finished the spring season at 10-9 overall with a 7-2 mark against Centennial Conference opposition. The spring season saw the Fords post eight victories against just four losses versus teams within the Atlantic South. Six of Haverford's nine defeats came against nationally-ranked opponents as Haverford made the Centennial Conference Tournament for the 11th time in the past 12 years. On each of those occasions, Haverford has made it to at least the conference semifinals.

In the Centennial Conference, Haverford owned regionally-ranked wins over Franklin & Marshall, Washington College, and Ursinus during the regular season. Each of those teams were also featured in the final rankings release.

Individually, Josh Moskovitz finished the season as one of just two Centennial Conference players in the singles rankings. Moskovitz concluded his sophomore season with a 10-9 overall record. His most impressive win of the year came when he defeated nationally-ranked Justin Cerny of Christopher Newport in straight sets. Cerny was ranked 49th nationally coming into that match. Moskovitz is already a two-time All-Centennial Conference performer in singles (earning first-team in 2017 and second-team in 2016) and a two-time second-team All-CC player in doubles to go along with his 2016 Centennial Conference Rookie of the Year accolades.

Men's tennis also appears to be well positioned for future success as every player from the Fords' varsity lineup returns next year. That talented group includes four All-Centennial Conference performers in both singles and doubles, along with the past two Centennial Conference Rookies of the Year.
