Morgan Named CC Indoor Track Athlete of the Week

Full Centennial Conference Release

HAVERFORD, Pa. – Haverford College junior Greg Morgan has been named the Centennial Conference Indoor Track Athlete of the Week, the conference office announced in a release on Monday afternoon.

Morgan takes home the honor after capturing the mile title at the Coach I Invitational on the campus of Franklin & Marshall on Saturday. Morgan completed the race in a time of 4:18.91, a mark that ranks as the fourth best Division III mile so far this season by NCAA qualifying standards.

Morgan, from Holidaysburg, Pa., last picked up an indoor Athlete of the Week honor on January 30, 2017 after competing in the mile at the Villanova Open on Staten Island. Morgan finished in fourth place with a career-best 4:13.16 mark at the meet.

Last season, Morgan qualified for the NCAA Outdoor National Championships in the 1,500-meter and was an All-Mideast Region selection in both the mile and DMR. In addition, Morgan was named honorable mention All-Centennial conference in the indoor mile in 2017.
