HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford men's Indoor Track & Field team will be well represented at the 2018 NCAA Division III Championships as Dylan Gearinger, Greg Morgan and Graham Peet will compete for the Fords during the two-day event. The national meet will be held at the Crossplex in Birmingham, Ala. on Friday, March 9 and Saturday, March 10. Birmingham Southern College will serve as the host institution for the event.

For each men's individual contest, the top-15 declared student-athletes were accepted into the competition.

Gearinger and Peet will each start for Haverford in the 5,000 meter run. The pair finished first and second, respectively, in the distance at the Centennial Conference championships. Gearinger takes the seventh-seed with a seed time of 14:20.35 while Peet is slotted as the 11th declared entrant with a seed time of 14:29.85. Avi Bregman was the last Haverford qualifier in the distance in 2014, finishing 9th overall. The 5,000 meter run will be contested at 5:45 p.m. ET on Friday afternoon.

Gearinger will also represent the Fords in the 3,000 meters as he earned the eighth seed in the event with a seed time of 8:15.96. Gearinger won the Centennial Conference championship in the distance. Haverford last qualified a 3,000 meter runner in 2015 as Charlie Marquardt finished fifth in the event. The men's 3,000 meter final is slated for Saturday at 5:30 p.m ET.

Morgan will compete in the mile run, earning the seventh-fastest seed time (4:08.61). The top three finishers in each of the two preliminary heats, in addition to the next four fastest times, will qualify for the finals. This will be the first indoor nationals appearance for all three of Haverford's entrants. Morgan finished 12th in the outdoor 1,500 meter at the national meet season ago.
