Men's Track & Field Picks Up 14 USTFCCCA All-Region Awards

HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College men's Indoor Track & Field team placed 14 on the US Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Mideast Region list, the organization announced in a release on on Monday afternoon. The 14 honors were split between six different student-athletes competing in a total of six different events.

Dylan Gearinger, Chris Goings, Liam Lynch, Greg Morgan, Graham Peet and Henry Woods all earned All-Mideast region honors. All-Region designation is reserved for student-athletes who are ranked within the top five marks for an individual event according to the final TFRRS lists or runners who are part of a relay team that finished within the top three squads in the region.

Gearinger picks up All-Region designation for the mile, 3,000 meters and 5,000 meters.  Morgan also was honored in three events, placing within the top five times in the region in the 3,000 meters and mile while taking part in the region's top distance medley relay performance. Woods similarly took home the award for the 3,000 meters, mile and DMR.

Peet was bestowed All-Mideast Region thanks to his 5,000 meter performance. Goings notched a top-five time in the region in the 800m and was part of the DMR squad while Lynch earned All-Region for the 400-meter as well as the DMR.

Lynch, Morgan, Peet and Woods all follow up All-Region honors from a season ago. Gearinger, Morgan, Peet and Woods also all add the honor to All-Region designation during the cross country campaign.

Gearinger (3,000 meters and 5,000 meters), Morgan (mile) and Peet (5,000 meters) all qualified for the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships, which will take place on Friday, March 9 and Saturday, March 10 at the Crossplex in Birmingham, Ala.
