HAVERFORD, Pa. - Haverford senior Greg Morgan has been named the Centennial Conference Indoor Track Athlete of the Week, the conference office announced in a release on Monday afternoon.

Morgan won the 3,000 meters at the TCNJ Lions Indoor Invitational at the Armory in New York City, crossing the finish line in a time of 8:14.56. The time is the fourth-fastest individual 3,000 meters mark in Haverford program history. The mark also tops the Division III leaderboard so far this season, as Morgan's performance was the fastest of the indoor campaign by more than two seconds. For each men's individual contest, the top-15 declared student-athletes will be accepted into the field for the national championships in Boston this March.

The Hollidaysburg, Pa. product was an All-American during both the indoor and outdoor seasons in 2017-18, in the mile and 1,500 meters, respectively, and was also the 18th place finisher at the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships last fall, ensuring All-America honors in each of the last three competitive running seasons.

The weekly honor is the fourth for Morgan during Track & Field, as he previously was honored with January awards in 2018 and 2017. Morgan also garnered the award in April of last season.

Morgan and Haverford will return to action on Saturday, January 19 at the Ursinus Invitational in Collegeville. Events are slated to begin at 10 a.m.
