HAVERFORD, Pa. - The Haverford College men's indoor track & field team won two events, good for a third place finish at the Seamus McElligott Invitational on Saturday afternoon inside the Alumni Field House. Senior Greg Morgan shined for Haverford, posting a time of 4:10.36 in the mile, a new-career best. The time converts to a 4:07.21 for NCAA qualifying purposes, giving Morgan the fastest Division III time this year by almost three seconds. The time was also the ninth-best individual mark in Haverford program history. Morgan had previously established the best 3,000 meter time in the nation just two weeks ago. Morgan was named Haverford's top performer at the annual late January meet, which is named in honor of Haverford's six-time national champion.

In addition to Morgan's stellar time, the Fords had a bevy of scoring finishers in the mile. First year Jamie Moreland followed Morgan with a career-best time of 4:19.33. The mark converts to a 4:16.07 for NCAA qualifying purposes, the top mark by a first year student-athlete so far this season.
