Graves, Schoch, Bregman, Milic-Strkalj come out on top at N.J. Invit.

EWING, N.J. – Several members of Haverford College's men's outdoor track & field team pushed to first-place finishes Saturday at the New Jersey Invite hosted by The College of New Jersey.

Tim Schoch raced to the win in the 800 meter run with a time of 1 minute, 51.95 seconds. Teammates Andrew Golato and Eric Arnold finished fourth and fifth, respectively. Schoch's time was a season best and was 1.5 seconds off his career best.

Avi Bregman led a trio of Fords in top-five finishes in the 3,000 meter steeplechase. Bregman posted a winning time of 9:22.62 which is a career-best. Daniel Stackman (third, 9:57.55) and John Curry (fifth, 10:08.44) also posted career bests.

Ivo Milic-Strkalj captured the 3,000 and Gibby Graves cleared a collegiate-best height of 1.93 meters (6 feet, 4.00 inches) to win the high jump. Graves also finished third in the triple jump and 11th in the long jump.

Willie XiangSam Callon and Kahmai Martin-Kirkland were the top Haverford finishers in the 400, 200 and shot put, respectively, and each registered season bests in their events.

The 4x400 relay quartet of Callon, Golato, Xiang and Schoch posted a second-place time of 3:22.11 which ranks as the fastest in the Centennial Conference in the 2012 outdoor season.
