Widener results see Fords climb ranks in conference performance list

CHESTER, Pa. – The Widener (Univ.) Invitational concluded Saturday with Haverford College's men's outdoor track & field team posting a number of efforts that improved rankings within the Centennial Conference's in-season performance list.

Sam Callon (pictured) moved up to third on the Centennial listing in the 400-meter run with Saturday's time of 51.28 seconds. His 200m time at Widener, 22.80, sits fourth on the conference list and was just 0.26 seconds off his career best.

David Roza and Daniel Stackman posted solid times in Saturday's 3,000-meter steeplechase. Roza finished second on Saturday with a time, 9:13.93, that trails only teammate Avi Bregman on the Centennial's steeplechase listing. Stackman's Widener time of 10:03.33 is seventh on the conference list.

Gibby Graves finished fourth in the high jump Saturday, clearing a height of 1.85 meters (6 feet, 0.75 inches) which pushes the Haverford sophomore up into the No. 2 spot on the Centennial performance chart for the event.

Next up for the Fords is the Haverford Tri-Meet on their home track. Events start at 4 p.m. Tuesday on Johnson Track.
