SWARTHMORE, Pa. - A handful of athletes from the Haverford College men's track and field team competed at Swarthmore College on Monday evening and mutliple Fords set new personal best times and increased their chances at qualifying for the NCAA Championships.

Senior Gebby Keny ran a career-best time in the 800-meter run and placed ninth overall at the meet with a time of 1 minute, 51.96 seconds. The runner's time was the 19th-fastest time in the country this year and gives Keny a better shot at qualifying for the national meet on May 22-24 in his hometown of Delaware, Ohio. Teammate Chris Gardner also ran to a personal-best time in the event when he crossed the finish line at 1:57.99.

Charlie Marquardt made a statement in the 1,500-meter run by finishing in the second-fastest time in Division III this season. Marquardt crossed the final line in a personal-record result of 3:46.64. Senior Christopher Stadler ran the sixth-quickest time in the nation by setting his new career mark at 3:47.64.
