Widener Invitational

The Fords had two individuals in the triple jump among the top 10 jumpers, highlighted by senior Gibby Graves' second place finish (13.76m). Freshman Daniel Sax had his season-best jump (12.92m) to place seventh.

During the 5,000m race, the Fords had five runners place among the top 12 finishers, led by Gandolfo-Lucia's time (15:26.39). Sophomores Evan Hamilton (15:32.16), Charlie Hale (15:35.35), junior Dylan Verner-Crist (15:36.14) and senior David Marsico (15:36.44) all broke personal records and finished in the top 12. Senior Zachary Gabor also broke his career best time by over a minute with a 17:33.55.

In the discus, senior Alex Smith set a personal record with a 32.72m throw.

Larry Ellis Invitational

Roza placed in the eighth position during the steeplechase at Princeton University. His 9:05.90 time, while just missing his personal best, is the quickest in Division III at press time by three seconds. Roza also has the third fastest time in the steeplechase this year with his 9:11.09 in the Sam Howell Invitational on Apr. 3.

In the 1,500m event, Marquardt broke his personal record with a 3:45.71 which was good for 16th place among the 86 runners in the field. His winning time is also the fastest in Division III by just under three seconds. The junior now has the top times in Division III in two events as he also has the speediest 5,000m time (14:21.63) which he ran at the Sam Howell Invitational (Apr. 3).

Senior Joel Christian nabbed a top ten finish, placing seventh in the 10,000m event with a personal best time of 30:33.30. That mark is the fourth quickest time among Division III runners in the event this season and gives the senior two of the top five times in the 10,000m.

Head coach Tom Donnelly's squad will wrap up the weekend with the second day of the Widener Invitational tomorrow.
