HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College men's Track & Field team has been named one of the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches' Association (USTFCCCA) 2015-2016 Division III Men's All-Academic Teams, the organization announced on Thursday.

Haverford takes home the award for the 11th time in as many seasons, notching the honor in every year since the organization combined the indoor and outdoor seasons into one award.  The men's program adds the plaudit to continued academic success in 2016, with 35 members of the indoor and outdoor squads named to the Centennial Conference Honor Roll.

In order to be eligible for Scholar Team of the Year, a team must finish highly at the national championship and have at least a 3.10 cumulative team GPA. All told, there were 112 men's team's honored for success in the classroom and in competition.

In addition to the team award, rising junior Henry Woods was honored individually as a USTFCCCA scholar athlete for the second consecutive season. To qualify for this honor, a student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.30. The student-athlete must also have competed in either the indoor or outdoor NCAA track championships or finished a season ranked in the top 35 nationally in an individual event or top 25 in a relay event.

Woods, an NCAA qualifier in the Distance Medley Relay for the Fords, followed up his 2015 Centennial Conference Outstanding Rookie of the Year designation with Second-team All-Centennial Conference indoor honors in the mile and the 3000m in 2016.  Woods also took home Honorable mention All-Centennial Conference in the outdoor 5000m.
