Greg Morgan Wins 5,000 Meters at Danny Curran Invitational

CHESTER, Pa. – On the first day of the Danny Curran Invitational at Widener, the Haverford Track & Field team was represented by a distance contingent in the 5,000 meter race. Greg Morgan won the event in a time of 14:37.02, a new career best in the event. Morgan's time is also the fifth-best mark in Division III thus far during the 2018 season.

Marcelo Jauregui-Volpe crossed in a time of 15:00.35 for a fifth-place finish while Lincoln Satterthwaite was 13th in a time of 15:19.90. James Barker was 14th in a time of 15:23.97 to cross within the top 15 finishers.

Conor Madden (17th, 15:26.87), David Watt (19th, 15:32.71), James Stadler (20th, 15:33.06), Matthew Willig (22nd, 15:38.12), Jack Hunter (26th, 15:53.86), Steve Gan (45th, 17:21.76) and Liam Bassett (48th, 18:00.22) rounded out the Haverford finishers on a wet night at Widener.

Action at the Danny Curran Invitational will continue on Saturday, with events beginning at 10 a.m.
