Gearinger Posts Eighth-Fastest 10,000m Mark in Program History at Sam Howell Invitational

PRINCETON, N.J. – In the final race of the Sam Howell Invitational at Princeton, the Haverford College men's outdoor track & field team was represented by Dylan Gearinger, Henry Woods, Graham Peet, and Ryan Herlihy as the group took to the track at Weaver Stadium for the 10,000 meter race on Friday night.

Gearinger was the top Division III finisher in the field, placing third overall in a time of 30:17.22, a new personal best in the distance. A pair of runners from Princeton were the only competitors to clock a better time than Gearinger. The time is also the eighth-best individual mark in Haverford program history. With results still coming in from across the country, the time is currently the seventh best individual mark in all of Division III this season.

Woods finished fifth overall with a time of 30:53.52 in his first career outdoor 10,000 meter run. Woods' time is currently the 13th fastest in the nation this season. Peet followed in sixth place with a time of 30:55.77. That time is now the 14th best in Division III. Herlihy was eighth overall with a time of 31:06.17, the 16th fastest in Division III so far this season.

The Fords will next return to the track on Saturday, April 14 at the Chester Quarry Classic, hosted by Widener University.
