HAVERFORD, Pa. –  The Haverford College men's cross country and track & field program finished 11th in the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Program of the Year award final standings.

In order to be eligible for the award, teams must qualify for each of the NCAA Championships. Scoring is based on the team's finish at each NCAA Championship in cross country, indoor track & field and outdoor track & field (i.e. 1st = 1 point, 2nd = 2 points) with the lowest total score for all three championships combined determining the award winner. Ties among schools split points for positions taken. Haverford finished 11th in the final standings with an eight place national finish in cross country, a 13th place finish during the Indoor Track & Field season and a 42nd place finish at the national outdoor meet last weekend.

This is the highest overall year-end finish for Haverford since the program finished fifth following the 2013-14 academic year. The Fords finished with All-America performances from senior Henry Woods (cross country) and juniors Dylan Gearinger (indoor track & field), Greg Morgan (indoor track & field, outdoor track & field) and Graham Peet (outdoor track & field).

The USTFCCCA started the Program of the Year Award in the 2008-09 season to recognize the institutions that have achieved the most overall success. North Central (Ill.) won the men's Program of the Year Award this year with a total of five points.
