ALLENTOWN, Pa. – On the final day of action at the Centennial Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Muhlenberg College, the Haverford College men's track & field team posted a pair of gold medal finishes as seniors Greg Morgan and Graham Peet added to their impressive career conference medal hauls, while the team recorded eight total scoring performances. Overall, the Fords finished fourth in the team standings, recording 95.5 points.

Morgan paced the crowded field in the 1,500 meters, as he took home the conference gold in the event for a second consecutive season. Morgan's time of 3:54.41 was more than six seconds faster than his title-winning run from a season ago at Ursinus. First-year Nico Tripeny narrowly missed scoring with an 11th place finish in a career-best 4:04.49, while senior Chris Goings also grabbed a top-15 performance in 4:05.24.

Senior Graham Peet finished off an outstanding weekend with his second event title and third overall medal of the meet as he took home the 5,000 meters. Peet was the event winner in 14:35.98, while Morgan was immediately behind his classmate in 14:36.05 to pick up a silver. The pair was all alone down the stretch as they pulled away from third-place finisher Bryce Descavish of Dickinson, ensuring the second 1-2 finish of weekend for the Fords in a distance event. First-year Max Brelig and junior Conor Madden narrowly missed the scoring places in the event as Brelig crossed in 12th place overall (career-best 15:21.59) while Madden was the 13th place finisher in 15:24.73.

Haverford has now won the event at the conference meet in each outdoor season dating back to the 2012 campaign. Peet's winning time was the best at the Centennial meet since Chris Stadler '14 ran a time of 14:28.70 in 2014.

Peet again puts himself into strong contention for a Performer of the Meet honor after also winning the 10,000 meters on Friday, and finishing second to senior Ryan Herlihy in the 3,000 meter steeplechase on Saturday afternoon. Morgan finishes the weekend with a gold and two silvers as his 5,000 meter silver complements his 1,500-meter gold and another silver as the vital anchor leg in the 4x800 meter relay on Saturday night.

Senior Liam Lynch finished fifth in the 400 meters, crossing in 50.78 to cap a strong career on the track as the four-time indoor champion in the event delivered another scoring performance for Haverford. Senior Kofi Acheampong was the seventh place finisher in the 200-meter dash finals, as he crossed the finish in 23:25. In relay events on Saturday, the 4x100 meter relay squad brought home bronze medals as the senior-laden squad of Greg Van Aken, Acheampong, Oscar Huang, and Lynch finished third in 43.95.

The 4x400 meter grouping finished seventh, as Goings joined Huang, Lynch, and junior Hiroshi Kawakatsu. Anchored by Lynch, the squad crossed in 3:30.60.

Sophomore Andrew Lummus (43'-. 25") had an impressive scoring performance in the triple jump, as he cleared 13.11 meters for an eighth-place tally. Senior Zach Oji also wrapped up his career with a 13th place finish, clearing 11.91 meters (39'-1").

Haverford will now have the option to enter select athletes at the Swarthmore Last Chance Meet on Monday, May 13. The meet is the final qualifier for selections to the NCAA Championships and it will begin at 3 p.m. at Clothier Field on the Swarthmore College campus.
