Full USTFCCCA Release

HAVERFORD, Pa. - Haverford College men's outdoor track & field seniors Ryan Herlihy, Greg Morgan, and Graham Peet have each been named U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Outdoor Track & Field All-Mideast Region selections, the organization announced in a release on Sunday afternoon.

The top five individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region honors, in addition to each of the members of a top three ranked relay teams. The regions used for this award process – Atlantic, Central, Great Lakes, Mideast, Midwest, New England, South/Southeast, West – match those used during both the cross country and indoor track & field season.

Herlihy picked up the award for the 10,000 meters. He ran the fourth-fastest time in the region this season at the first outdoor meet of the season, the Danny Curran Invitational at Widener on March 29. Herlihy finished in 30:53.21 in that event, a career-best finish. Herlihy, the gold medalist in the conference's 3,000-meter race earlier this month, adds his first outdoor All-Region accolade to a pair of All-Centennial nods.

Morgan earned a pair of All-Region honors this season, taking home accolades in the 1,500-meter and 5,000-meters. Morgan had the region's fastest 1,500-meter time this season, posting a time of 3:46.87 at the Swarthmore Final Qualifier last week. It was also the ninth-best time in program history. The Hollidaysburg, Pa. product also holds the fastest 5,000-meter time in the region this season, with his 14:20.29 finish at last month's Penn Relays representing the sixth-fastest individual mark in Haverford's outdoor history. In total, Morgan has earned 11 career All-Region certificates across both the indoor and outdoor track & field campaigns.

Morgan will represent Haverford in the 5,000 meters at this weekend's NCAA Division III Championships, with finals-only action beginning at 3:25 p.m. on Saturday. Morgan enters as the fifth seed in that competition, the final individual event of the three-day championship slate.

Peet also takes home two honors, adding All-Region plaudits in both the 10,000 meters and 3,000-meter steeplechase to his impressive ledger. Peet clocked the fastest 10,000-meter time in the region on March 29 at the Danny Curran Invitational, crossing in a career-best 30:06.59, the seventh-fastest mark in program history. Peet also recorded the fifth-fastest steeplechase finish in the region this season, with a career-best 9:09.77 finish at last week's Swarthmore Final Qualifier. The Vashon, Wash. product now has eight career All-Region awards across the two track & field seasons.

Peet will also head to nationals, competing in the 10,000 meters on the first day of action on Thursday. The finals-only event is slated to begin at 10:45 a.m. Peet enters as the sixth seed. For a full schedule of events and live results, click here.
