HAVERFORD, Pa. - Junior Charlie Marquardt of the Haverford College men's cross country team was named the Centennial Conference Runner of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
Marquardt ran in the Main Line Invitational on the rainy Alumni Course on the campus of Haverford College. The junior ran the best time for Haverford (19:44.80) and finished in ninth place. He was the highest non-Division I runner and knocked off 23 seconds from his time in last year's Main Line event.
The Fords, who were ranked No. 11 in the most recent Division-III poll, get back on the course Saturday at the Lehigh University Paul Short Invitational.
