HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Haverford College men's and women's cross country teams have announced their respective 2018 schedules. Both teams are scheduled to compete in five meets before the Centennial Conference Championships as the men enter the season as the team which has brought home the last four conference titles.

The women get the 2018 campaign started with the Haverford Open on Saturday, September 1. That race will be the first of four home meets for the women. The Fords will jointly host their Alumni/ae Opens (Saturday, September 8) and the Main Line Invitational (Friday, September 14) on the Alumni Cross Country Course in the final competitive action that course will see until the conference championship comes back to Haverford in late October.

Both teams will head out on the road for the Lehigh's annual Paul Short Invitational on Saturday, September 29. A new meet to the schedule this season will be the Jack Saint Clair Memorial Invitational held at the Belmont Plateau on Saturday, October 13. That meet will be the final race before the postseason kicks into high gear. That same weekend, the men's side will get a national's course preview as the Fords head to Wisconsin for the Oshkosh Invitational.

The Centennial Conference Championships return to Haverford on Saturday, October 27. All women's races during the postseason will precede the men's races, starting at 11 a.m. local time. The men entering the season as the defending conference and Mideast Regional Champions, and are coming off an eighth place finish at last year's NCAA Championship. The women placed third at both the conference and regional meet last year before a 27th place showing at the national championship.
