Title: Assistant Coach
Previous College: Haverford '02

J.B. Haglund ’02 returns for his 21st year as assistant coach with the cross country team in 2023. Currently an English teacher at Lower Merion High School, Haglund captured four NCAA titles during his senior year at Haverford (cross country in the fall, anchored the distance medley relay team in the winter and won the 5,000 and 10,000 meter races in the spring). Named the outstanding male track athlete at the NCAA Division III outdoor championship in 2002, Haglund was the first Haverford runner to win NCAA championships in all three seasons of the same school year.

Since his decorated career at Haverford, Haglund has coached some of the program’s best teams as the Fords have made the national podium eight times. That includes the 2010 season when Haverford won the College’s only Division III Team national championship.
