Meet Information

Live streaming (weather permitting): The finishes of the men's and women's varsity races will be streamed live with the women's live feed beginning at 11:15 a.m. and the men's feed beginning at 12:15 p.m. Live streaming link

Facility Information: Haverford College is a nationally recognized arboretum with a historic tree collection. Coaches and spectators are required to stay on marked pathways, not pass through unmarked areas, and take care when moving between runner viewing locations. 

The 6K/8K XC Course is located on Haverford’s campus. It starts on Featherbed Field with runners crossing through Ryan Pinetum before getting on the Nature Trail. Runners exit the Nature Trail near the Observatory and continue down past the Outdoor Track. Runners pass over Featherbed Lane and run behind the Softball Field before passing through the HaverFarm and getting back on the Nature Trail. Runners will continue this loop until directed to their appropriate exit (6K or 8K) reentering Ryan Pinetum and returning to Featherbed Field to finish.

Championship Zoom Call: There will be a Centennial Conference Cross Country Championship Zoom meeting for all coaches and administrators on Monday, October 24, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. A Zoom link will be provided prior to the meeting.

Course Preview: All teams competing in the Centennial Conference Cross Country Championship may preview the course on Friday, October 28, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. If you are intending to preview the course, please email the Meet Director Annick Lamar (alamar@haverford.edu) by Thursday, October 27, 2022 at noon with your estimated time of arrival.

Visitor, Hotel and Dining Information: Please view the Visitor's Guide page on the Haverford College website for information regarding directions to the College, a campus map, hotel information, and local restaurants.

Tickets: There will be no admission charged at the 2022 Centennial Conference Cross Country Championship.

Championship Apparel: Fine Design will be onsite with Centennial Conference Championship apparel available for purchase.

Restrooms: Portable restrooms, including portable ADA accessible restrooms, are available for this event. They will be located between the Baseball Field and Outdoor Track. Additionally, restrooms will be available at the Walton Field Outdoor Track Grandstands.

Team Staging Areas: Teams should use the Featherbed Field 1 to the side of the Softball Class of ’95 left field fence as their staging area. Please limit any teams tents (should not exceed 10’ x 20’ in size and weather permitting) to Featherbed Field #1.

Parking / Arrival: All visitors must park in the South Lot or the Visitor Parking Lot. Buses can drop teams off in the South Lot at the south entrance to the Douglas B. Gardner ’83 Integrated Athletic Center (GIAC). Please refer to the campus map (www.haverford.edu/campus-map) for location of these parking lots. 

Locker Room Access: Locker rooms will be available starting at 11:30 a.m. Participants can enter the lower level of the Douglas B. Gardner ’83 Integrated Athletic Center (GIAC) to gain access to the locker rooms. Haverford College is not responsible for any items left in locker rooms. There will be one locker room for non-binary athletes, one locker room for men athletes, and one locker room for women athletes. Athletes should use the locker room that aligns with their gender identity.

Entries: Teams may enter up to 12 athletes in the varsity races. Teams do not have to designate a top 12 with the team entry. Please submit entries to directathletics.com by 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, October 25, 2022. You may enter your roster at any time and update it as necessary throughout the season. Please print a copy of your final entries for confirmation.

Entry Fee: The entry fee is $12 per athlete. Entries should be paid at the packet pick-up prior to the meet. Please make your checks payable to: Haverford College. Receipts will be available for all teams after payment. 

Packets: Team packets will be available for pickup on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. at the Registration Tent near the Finish Line.

Coaches Meeting: Coaches should gather at 9:45 a.m. on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at the Registration Tent near the Finish Line.

Timing: Timing services will be provided by LEXICON TIMING, LLC. Assigned race numbers must be worn by all participating athletes on the front of their uniforms Electronic bar-code bib tags will be affixed to the race numbers, and all athletes must wear these tags in order to be included in race results.

Awards Presentation: The awards ceremony will begin 15 minutes after the last men’s finisher (approximately 12:45 p.m.) and will be held near the Registration Tent. In case of inclement weather, the ceremony will be inside the Alumni Field House. The previous year's champion is responsible for bringing the championship trophy to the championship site. The trophy must be engraved (updated) by the previous year's champion.

All-Conference Team: The first seven finishers at the conference championship meet will be named first-team All-Conference, while the second seven finishers will be named second-team All-Conference. The first finisher at the conference championship meet will be named the individual champion/medalist.

Inclement Weather: In case of inclement weather, student-athletes and coaches may use Alumni Field House. Please be prepared to deal with adverse weather conditions. In the case of lightning or other severe weather in the area, the course officials and administrators will follow the recommended procedures for the NCAA Championship. Haverford Athletics requires all competitions to cease if lightning is within a 10 mile radius of the event.

Athletic Training: Curt Mauger (610-896-1425) of Haverford College will serve as the official athletic trainer for the championship. Teams with special needs should contact him as soon as possible to make necessary arrangements. Athletic trainers can be found in the Athletic Training Tent near the Finish Line. Water and ice will be provided at the competition site.

Directions to Bryn Mawr Hospital (130 South Bryn Mawr Avenue, Bryn Mawr, PA | 610-526-3000): Leave the main entrance of Haverford College by turning left (west) onto Lancaster Avenue (US 30).  Proceed westward on Lancaster Avenue for exactly 1 mile.  Make a left onto Bryn Mawr Ave at that light (Bryn Mawr Trust bank sits on the right hand side of this intersection). After making the turn, the hospital will be less than ¼ of a mile on your right hand side.

Results/Sports Information: Complete individual and team results will be distributed to all Centennial Conference SIDs by Haverford College Director of Sports Information, Curran McCauley (610-896-1121; cmccauley@haverford.edu) as soon as possible after they are declared official following the conclusion of each race. Sports information directors with additional needs should forward those requests to Curran.
